Arlington Police Investigating Fatal Stabbing of Woman Found in Backyard

ARLINGTON, Texas — Police are investigating a stabbing that left a 53-year-old woman dead Monday morning.

Around 9:00 a.m. on September 22, officers responded to a home in the 1000 block of Shortleaf Pine Drive (Central Arlington area) after a family member discovered the woman unresponsive and bleeding in the backyard. She had multiple apparent stab wounds and was transported to a local hospital, where she later died.

Detectives believe the victim likely knew her killer and that the attack was not random. No arrests have been made as the investigation continues.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the victim’s identity.
