On October 17th, DeSoto Police Department (Delta Shift) responded to reports of gunfire at an apartment complex in the 1200 block of East Pleasant Run Road. The incident was initially detected by the department’s Shot Spotter system, followed by multiple 911 calls from residents.
Officers arrived within three minutes and found over 30 shell casings at the scene. The adult male victim, who was not injured, stated that two suspects approached him, brandished firearms, and opened fire. In self-defense, the victim returned fire.
Suspects detained at the scene:

Noah Douglas Moran, 20, of Glenn Heights

Jashaun Lamonte Wofford, 20, of Waxahachie
Both were arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon (Firearm). Multiple firearms were recovered during the investigation.
