The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating a fatal collision that occurred Thursday evening, October 16, in the 3900 block of East Main Street.
Around 6:00 p.m., a Corvette traveling westbound at a high rate of speed collided with a Dodge Ram flatbed wrecker that was making a left turn while towing two vehicles.
The driver of the wrecker sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver and sole occupant of the Corvette died at the scene and was pronounced deceased by Grand Prairie Fire Department medics.
The identity of the deceased will be released by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office once next of kin have been notified.
The crash remains under investigation by the Grand Prairie Police Department’s Traffic Unit.
