FORT WORTH, TX — On Monday, December 8, 2025, Fort Worth Police Department officers responded to a welfare check at an apartment complex on Remington Circle in southwest Fort Worth. Concern arose after an employer reported that a resident had failed to show up for work.
Upon arrival, officers forced entry and discovered an adult female victim and an adult male suspect in the living room. Both were pronounced dead at the scene with apparent gunshot wounds.
Preliminary investigation suggests the incident was a murder-suicide. Homicide detectives are actively investigating, and the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will confirm the identities of the deceased and determine the official cause and manner of death.
Authorities believe the two were in a dating relationship, and there is no ongoing threat to the public. Police continue to gather information as the investigation proceeds.
