DALLAS, TX - Dallas police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred early Friday morning in Northwest Dallas. Officers were called to the 11800 block of High Meadow Drive around 5:10 a.m. on January 2, 2026, after reports of gunfire.
According to preliminary information, two individuals were shot at the location by a suspect known to them. Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and pronounced one victim, 57-year-old Guadalupe Gonzalez, deceased at the scene. A second victim was transported to a local hospital and remains in critical condition.
Police arrested the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Noah Trueba of McKinney, at the scene without further incident. He has been booked into jail and is facing a charge of murder.
Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. The case is being handled under Dallas Police case number 000540-2026.
