MANSFIELD, Texas - Mansfield police have arrested a suspect in connection with the death of a man found unresponsive inside a vehicle last year, following a multi-agency operation in southeast Arlington.

Officers with the Mansfield Police Department initially responded Nov. 5, 2025, to a parking lot in the 700 block of Debbie Lane after receiving reports of an unresponsive individual inside a vehicle. Mansfield Fire Medics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. The victim was later identified as 38-year-old Danny Figueroa.

After a months-long investigation by the department’s Criminal Investigations Division, detectives identified a suspect and secured arrest and search warrants.

At approximately 6 a.m. Feb. 19, 2026, Mansfield police, working with the SWAT Unit and investigators, executed the warrants at a residence in the 600 block of Ragwood Road near Debbie Lane. Authorities arrested 34-year-old Raydell Spruill without incident.

Spruill has been charged with murder under Texas Penal Code §19.02(b)(4), a first-degree felony. Investigators said the charge is connected to Figueroa’s death, which the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled was caused by fentanyl and cocaine toxicity.

During the operation, two additional adults were found inside the residence. One adult male was taken into custody on unrelated warrants, while an adult female was identified and released at the scene.

Detectives conducting a search of the home recovered contraband and several firearms. No injuries were reported during the operation.
