Woman Claims Self-Defense After Stabbing Boyfriend During Assault in Southwest Arlington

ARLINGTON, Texas - A domestic dispute in Arlington early Friday morning left two people hospitalized and resulted in the arrest of a man on multiple charges.

On March 20, 2026, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Arlington Police responded to a reported stabbing at the Sterling Crest Apartment complex in the 4900 block of Silber Road.

Officers were called after a woman reported that her boyfriend had assaulted her and that she stabbed him in self-defense.

When officers arrived, they found both individuals suffering from significant injuries. Both were transported to area hospitals for treatment.

According to police, the woman told officers the two had been arguing when her boyfriend, identified as 33-year-old Keith Green, began physically assaulting her. During the altercation, she said she grabbed a nearby knife and used it to defend herself.

After receiving medical treatment and being cleared, Green was taken into custody and booked into the Arlington City Jail.

He is charged with assault family violence impeding breath and assault family violence with a previous conviction. Authorities also confirmed he had an active warrant out of Tarrant County for assault family violence with a previous conviction stemming from an August 2025 arrest.

At this time, the woman has not been charged.
