Motorcyclist Shot During Road Rage Incident on I-30 in Arlington

ARLINGTON, Texas - Arlington Police are investigating a road rage shooting that left a motorcyclist injured Saturday night.

At approximately 9:15 p.m. on March 21, 2026, officers were traveling eastbound on Interstate 30 near Ballpark Way when they spotted a motorcycle on the shoulder and a man on the ground in distress.

Officers stopped to assist and discovered the man had been shot in the leg. They provided first aid until paramedics arrived. The victim was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the victim said he had been riding eastbound on I-30 when traffic began to slow. He told officers a driver behind him started tailgating and flashing their headlights.

The man said the driver then moved into another lane, pulled alongside him, displayed a firearm, and fired a shot, striking him in the leg.

The victim was able to pull over onto the shoulder, while the suspect continued eastbound and fled the scene.

No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
