ARLINGTON, Texas — Police are investigating a shooting that left a 32-year-old man dead early Sunday morning at an event venue in Arlington.
Officers responded around 4:29 a.m. on March 29, 2026, to the 1200 block of California Lane after receiving reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they located multiple shell casings outside the business.
Witnesses told investigators that a physical altercation broke out at the venue, during which someone fired multiple shots.
A short time later, officers were notified that a man had arrived at Medical City Arlington with a gunshot wound. Police determined he had been transported from the shooting scene by friends. Despite medical efforts, he was later pronounced deceased.
Detectives are continuing to investigate and are working to identify the shooter. No arrests have been made at this time.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as 32-year-old Karri Kartik Viswanath.
