GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas — A woman was killed early Monday morning after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 30, according to the Grand Prairie Police Department.
Officers responded around 1:30 a.m. on March 30, 2026, to the 4600 block of eastbound IH-30 westbound lanes following reports of an auto-pedestrian crash.
Investigators said an adult female was walking in the main lanes of the highway for unknown reasons when she was struck by a passing motorist who did not see her.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by Grand Prairie Fire Department medics.
The driver was not injured and is cooperating with investigators.
The identity of the victim will be released by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office once next of kin have been notified.
The crash remains under investigation.
