IRVING, Texas — The City of Irving, the Irving Fire Department, and the Irving Schools Foundation are once again partnering to help local students prepare for the upcoming school year through the annual "Supplies for Success" school supply drive.
The community-wide campaign runs through Friday, July 10, and marks the program's 20th year of collecting and distributing school supplies to Irving Independent School District students from low-income families.
Organizers are asking the public to donate new school supplies, with backpacks identified as the most requested item. Other needed supplies include washable eight-count markers, 24-count crayons, small scissors, pencil boxes, notebook paper, folders, colored pencils, and other classroom essentials.
Donations may be dropped off at any Irving Fire Department station throughout the city. To find a station, visit IrvingTX.gov/Station-Locations.
Families in need of school supplies are encouraged to contact their child's school directly for assistance.
For a complete list of requested items or additional information about the Supplies for Success Drive, residents can visit the City of Irving website or call (972) 721-7608.
