Frisco Police Investigating Armed Robbery Involving Frisco ISD Students

FRISCO, Texas — Frisco police say several juveniles enrolled in Frisco ISD have been identified following an armed robbery that occurred Monday evening in the parking lot of the Frisco Athletic Center.

According to the Frisco Police Department, officers responded at approximately 8 p.m. on June 29 to a report of a robbery involving a firearm at the Frisco Athletic Center.

Investigators determined the robbery occurred during a pre-arranged meeting between the individuals involved.

Police said the suspects fled the scene in a blue and white Ford Bronco before officers arrived.

Officers later learned the Bronco belonged to a nearby resident and located the vehicle a short time later at a fast-food restaurant several miles from the athletic center.

Police interviewed the people associated with the vehicle and determined the individual who had allegedly displayed the handgun was not present.

With assistance from detectives and Frisco ISD school resource officers, investigators identified the individuals involved and determined they were all juveniles enrolled in Frisco ISD.

Police did not release the identities or ages of those involved because they are juveniles.

The Frisco Police Department said all individuals identified in the incident will be held accountable for their actions.

The investigation remains ongoing.
