15-Year-Old Boy Killed in Early Morning Shooting in Southeast Dallas

DALLAS, Texas. A 15-year-old boy was killed in an early morning shooting Saturday in southeast Dallas, and police are searching for the person responsible.

According to the Dallas Police Department, officers responded at approximately 2:15 a.m. on July 19 to a reported shooting in the 8000 block of Great Trinity Forest Way.

The preliminary investigation found that the juvenile victim was shot by an unknown suspect.

Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the 15-year-old to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Police said the victim's identity is not being released because he was a juvenile and the investigation remains ongoing.

No arrests have been made.

Detectives are continuing to investigate the homicide under case number 105310-2026.
