Witnesses Rescue Driver, Two Children From Burning Car After Tarrant County Crash

TARRANT COUNTY, Texas - A driver and two children were hospitalized after their vehicle crashed into an electrical pole and caught fire Wednesday in southeastern Tarrant County, according to the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies responded on August 26, 2026, to a single-vehicle crash on Teague Road, just south of Davis.

When deputies arrived, they found a passenger car that had left the roadway and struck an electrical pole. The impact caused both the vehicle and utility pole to catch fire.

Before emergency crews arrived, witnesses rushed to the burning vehicle and helped the adult driver and two child passengers escape.

Responding deputies then worked to extinguish the flames and secure the crash scene.

Emergency medical personnel treated the driver and both children at the scene before transporting all three to local hospitals. Authorities said they were in serious but stable condition.

Investigators have not determined what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway.

The Tarrant County Sheriff's Office Accident Investigations Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
