Driver Shot and Killed Before Crashing Into Tree in Dallas' Lake Highlands

DALLAS, Texas - A 33-year-old man was killed Sunday afternoon after Dallas police say someone opened fire on his vehicle, causing him to crash into a tree in the Lake Highlands area.

Dallas police responded around 12:20 p.m. Sept. 7 to a shooting near Plano Road and Walnut Hill Lane.

The preliminary investigation determined that Terron Williams, 33, was driving when unknown suspects fired at him, according to police.

Williams was struck by the gunfire and subsequently crashed his vehicle into a tree.

Dallas Fire-Rescue responded and pronounced Williams dead at the scene.

Police have not released information about a possible motive, the number of people involved in the shooting or a description of the suspects.
