Victim Dies After Shooting Along I-35E in Dallas' Wolf Creek Area

DALLAS, Texas - A 27-year-old man has died after he was shot along Interstate 35E in Dallas' Wolf Creek area Sunday evening, police said.

Dallas police responded around 6:20 p.m. Sept. 6 to a shooting in the 5600 block of northbound S.R.L. Thornton Freeway, also known as I-35E.

The preliminary investigation determined that Joshua Wansley, 27, was shot by an unknown person.

Dallas Fire-Rescue transported Wansley to a local hospital in critical condition.

Wansley remained hospitalized until Sept. 7, when he was pronounced dead.

Police have not released information about what led to the shooting or a description of the person suspected of shooting Wansley.
