Man Dies After Shooting on Newkirk Street in Northwest Dallas, Suspect at Large

DALLAS, Texas - A man died after being shot early Saturday morning in Northwest Dallas, and police are searching for an unidentified suspect.

According to the Dallas Police Department, officers responded to a shooting call at approximately 2:10 a.m. on Oct. 10, 2026, in the 2100 block of Royal Lane.

The preliminary investigation determined that the victim had been shot by an unknown suspect near the 11300 block of Newkirk Street, a short distance from where officers were initially dispatched.

Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the wounded man to a local hospital, where he later died.

Authorities have not released the victim's identity or age.

Dallas Police Investigating Fatal Shooting

Investigators are working to determine what led to the shooting and identify the person responsible.

Police have not disclosed whether the victim and suspect knew each other or what circumstances led to the gunfire.

No arrests have been announced, and authorities have not released a description of the suspect.

The Dallas Police Department said the motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
