Irving and Dallas Volunteers Help Beautify Trinity View Park in East Irving, Collect 84 Pounds of Trash and Recyclables
IRVING, Texas — More than 50 volunteers rolled up their sleeves Thursday morning, October 22, 2026, to help restore and beautify Trinity View Park in East Irving, painting park structures and collecting 84 pounds of trash and recyclable materials.
The community service project brought together Keep Irving Beautiful (KIB), the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas (AAGD) and the City of Irving Parks and Recreation Department.
Volunteers gathered at approximately 8:30 a.m. at Trinity View Park, located in the 2200 block of East Highway 356 (Irving Boulevard), to begin the morning's work.
With favorable weather conditions, participants spent the morning improving the park's appearance and removing litter from the grounds.
By noon, volunteers had painted worn guardrails and a pavilion while collecting 70 pounds of trash and 14 pounds of recyclable materials.
AAGD reported that more than 50 of its volunteers participated in the project.
"Thank you to everyone who helped rejuvenate this park for surrounding communities to enjoy!" the association said in a statement posted on social media.

Trinity View Park Serves as Gateway to Campion Trail
Trinity View Park, an area commonly referred to by longtime Irving residents as the river bottoms, covers approximately 163.5 acres along the Trinity River.
The park serves as a gateway to the southern section of Campion Trail, a 22-mile greenbelt that provides recreational opportunities along the river.
The park includes athletic fields for soccer, baseball, football, softball and cricket, along with a canoe launch, pavilions and access to trails used for walking, running and bicycling.
The surrounding Trinity River corridor also supports wetlands, floodplain forests and other natural habitats that provide environmental benefits, including flood mitigation, water purification and wildlife habitat.
Annual Community Service Project Supports North Texas Communities
The beautification effort was part of the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas Community Service Committee's annual initiative to support organizations and neighborhoods throughout North Texas.
Each year, the committee partners with local organizations to complete improvement projects that benefit surrounding communities.
With assistance from AAGD members, previous projects have included interior and exterior improvements at women's shelters, homeless shelters, food pantries and organizations serving children.
This year's effort focused on enhancing Trinity View Park, one of Irving's recreational areas along the Trinity River.
The partnership with Keep Irving Beautiful and the Irving Parks and Recreation Department provided volunteers an opportunity to improve a public space used by residents for outdoor recreation and community activities.
