Lee Students “Walk this Way”

Last week, elementary students across the country participated in National Walk to School Day, an annual celebration that promotes wellness and community. The second-graders of Lee Elementary School went the extra mile that day with the help of Safe Kids Worldwide, FedEx and Children’s Health. Focusing on pedestrian safety, the organizations hosted a special “Walk this Way” event which included a student-led parade, an interactive presentation, poster contest and activity stations. With safety tips and chants in their pockets, students walked away empowered and equipped for the year ahead!
