Brandenburg Steps Up to Give Back

The students of Brandenburg Elementary made a special presentation to Irving Cares this morning after rallying together to raise $4,195. The school donated the funds to aid Hurricane Harvey evacuees who have relocated locally and are finding assistance through Irving Cares. Students hosted a free dress day fundraiser for an entire week, collecting money for a good cause. Several fifth graders gathered to thank the organization for their efforts and presented a check on behalf of the campus to Irving Cares community engagement director and City Councilman Kyle Taylor, CEO Teddie Story and development director Heather Newell.
