Learn About Area Insects And Their Importance
Insects are essential if you want to invite wildlife into your yard. Birds, toads and lizards like insects for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Dallas County is located in the Blackland Prairie ecological region. Collectively, communities can structure their yards to provide habit for many species native to North Texas. Suburban and urban settings are now considered an important lifeline to preserving species diversity.
Suitable for all ages, "Identification and Lifestyles of Common Dallas Area Insects" will be held Tuesday, Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. at West Irving Library, 4444 Rochelle Road.
This free event is for anyone who has wondered about insects, what they are doing and why. Learn about the insects found locally in your neighborhood and the diversity right outside your door.
