The Dallas Police Department arrested a driver Friday night after a fatal crash on Spur 408.
At around 6:00 pm, Dallas PD and Fire Rescue crews responded to a crash along southbound Spur 408 near Kiest in southwest Dallas.
Investigators say the driver of a pickup truck was traveling south on 408 when the vehicle drifted onto the shoulder and rear-ended a sedan parked on the side of the road. A passenger inside the parked sedan was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck was taken into custody, but potential charges have not yet been announced.
All southbound lanes of Spur 408 were closed Friday evening while DPD investigated the scene.
