Crews have already started installing wi-fi at several Irving parks.
Williams Square Plaza in Las Colinas already has wi-fi available.
By the end of June, wi-fi will also be available at West, Senter, and Lively Parks, as well as Levy Event Plaza and the West Irving Aquatic Center.
"Irving has been trying to move forward with smart cities type initiatives. This is a huge project in that regard.", said Irving Information Technology Communications Manager John Chaney in an ICTN interview.
The City is already looking at adding wi-fi in more locations, including Heritage Park.
