On December 30, 2023, at approximately 5:20 pm, Dallas police responded to reports of a shooting at the Mountain Creek Branch Library in the 6100 block of Mountain Creek Parkway, near Joe Pool Lake.
Upon arrival, officers discovered two men with gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire Rescue also responded to the scene and declared one of the victims, identified as 15-year-old Angel Solis, deceased. The other victim, a 16-year-old male, was transported to a local hospital in critical condition where he later died from his injuries.
As of now, no information regarding a suspect has been released.
The investigation is ongoing and will be documented under case number 232643-2023.
