On January 25, 2024, at approximately 9:15 p.m., the Dallas Police received a shooting call in the 1000 block of W. Wheatland Road in the Wolf Creek area. Upon arrival, officers discovered 18-year-old Joshua Porter inside a vehicle, suffering from gunshot wounds. Porter succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The preliminary investigation into this shooting is underway, and it is being documented under case number 013623-2024.
