City of Irving Invests in South Irving: Keeler Park Revitalization Brings New Amenities Including Pickleball Courts

The City of Irving is making a significant investment in South Irving with the rejuvenation of Keeler Park, located at 500 S. Rogers Road. As one of Irving's oldest parks, Keeler Park is undergoing a transformation to better serve the community's need and the final touches are underway.

A notable addition to the park's makeover is the installation of Irving's inaugural outdoor lighted pickleball courts, offering a new recreational option for residents to enjoy. Responding to input from the community, the park redesign emphasizes sustainability with the incorporation of energy-efficient lighting.

With a budget of $1.2 million, the renovation project encompasses various improvements, including expanded parking facilities and fresh landscaping. The park's playground area is being enlarged to accommodate swings, exercise equipment, and covered picnic tables, making it more inclusive for families and outdoor enthusiasts.

Despite the modern upgrades, planners are preserving Keeler Park's historical significance by retaining the existing pavilion alongside the new amenities.

The anticipated reopening of Keeler Park in its revitalized form is scheduled for the upcoming spring season, marking a significant milestone in the city's efforts to invest in and improve community spaces in South Irving.
