On Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at around 10:17 p.m., the Arlington Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the 2400 block of Hollandale Circle in East Arlington. Upon arrival, officers found a man lying on the ground with gunshot wounds.
The victim, later identified as 22-year-old Rameses Leonard Forward of Forney, was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries, as confirmed by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office. The cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound to the abdomen, ruled as a homicide.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Detective Dixon, leading the investigation, urges anyone with information to come forward. "We are asking the public for any assistance they can provide in this case," Dixon stated.
As of now, no arrests have been made, and the motive behind the shooting remains unclear. Detectives are actively canvassing the area for surveillance footage and potential witnesses.
