Irving ISD Board Approves Salary Increase for 2024-2025 School Year
At the March 25, 2024 meeting, the Irving Independent School District (ISD) Board of Trustees made a significant decision regarding employee compensation for the upcoming school year.
The approved salary increase entails adjustments across various job categories within the district:
- Paraprofessionals will see an average increase of 6%.
- Teachers, nurses, librarians, and counselors can expect an average increase of 3%.
- Administrative professionals, along with other exempt professionals, will also receive an average increase of 3%.
- Operations staff, including employees in food services, facilities services, and student transportation, will receive a $1.00 per hour increase.
It's important to note some additional details:
- Full-time employees whose current salary surpasses the maximum of their respective pay grade (pay band) will receive a 1.5% increase at the midpoint.
- The salary adjustments for paraprofessionals, administrative professionals, exempt professionals, and operations staff are based on the midpoint of the pay bands established for the 2023-2024 school year.
