On Sunday evening at approximately 9:35 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 10300 block of Gardner Road in Northwest Dallas. Officers arrived to find Byron Thompkins, 44, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Dallas Fire and Rescue transported Thompkins to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Following an investigation, Donald Solomon, 63, was identified as the shooter. Authorities determined that Solomon shot Thompkins after an argument. Solomon has been charged with murder and is currently in the Dallas County Jail.
