On Saturday, August 25, 2024, just after 12:30 a.m., Garland Police officers responded to reports of a weapons disturbance in the 2600 block of West Walnut Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered three individuals suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Emergency services transported all three victims to local hospitals for treatment.
One of the victims was pronounced dead at the hospital due to injuries sustained during the incident. The identities of the victims have not been released at this time.
Garland detectives are actively investigating the scene to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and to identify the individuals involved. Authorities have not yet provided information about any suspects or potential motives.
