Arlington Fire Department Seeks Public Help in Suspected Arson Case

The Arlington Fire Department's Investigations Division is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a residential fire set in North Arlington.

On Thursday, September 12, 2024, shortly after midnight at approximately 12:30 a.m., a homeowner's security camera captured a masked individual approaching their residence with what appears to be a gas can. After spending a few minutes on the porch, flames erupted, and the suspect was seen fleeing to a White Chevy Express work van before leaving the area.

  • Location: Near Northeast Green Oaks and North Collins, Arlington
  • Vehicle: White Chevy Express work type van without racks

Suspect Description:

  • Gender: Male
  • Clothing: "Fender" T-shirt, slides, shorts, and a black ski mask
  • Hair: Dreadlocks
  • Additional Details: Distinct labored gait
