The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) announces Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitive Adiah Roberson is now back in custody following her arrest on October 22, 2024. A Crime Stoppers tip led to her arrest, and a reward will be paid.
Adiah Namir Roberson, 17, was taken into custody at an apartment complex in southeast Dallas. Following up on tip information, DPS Criminal Investigations Division (CID) Special Agents assigned to the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force in San Antonio coordinated with members of the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force, including DPS CID Special Agents, to locate and arrest Roberson. The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office and Grand Prairie Police Department assisted in the apprehension.
Roberson had been wanted out of Bexar County since July 2024 for murder following an incident where she allegedly shot and killed 33-year-old Daniel Shrewsbury, a manager at a Sonic drive-in restaurant in San Antonio. The incident occurred at approximately 9:30 p.m. on July 7, 2024, at the Sonic located at Babcock and Eckhert. Shrewsbury, who was covering the overnight shift, had reportedly just arrived at work when he discovered that Roberson had allegedly taken around $100 from a tip cup. When Shrewsbury went to take pictures of the license plate on the vehicle she was in, Roberson allegedly got out of the vehicle and shot him in the chest. Shrewsbury managed to make it inside the restaurant before collapsing and dying at the scene. San Antonio police had already arrested 27-year-old Joshua Joseph, who is believed to have been the getaway driver.
In addition to murder, Roberson was also wanted out of Bexar County for forgery of a government document.
