UPDATE - December 5, 2024: The victim has been identified as 36-year-old Michael Dent.
On December 2, 2024, at approximately 2:10 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 1600 block of John West Road in East Dallas. Upon arrival, officers discovered a man with gunshot wounds at the scene. The man was pronounced dead at the location.
The investigation is ongoing under case number 180832-2024, with the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office set to assist in identifying the victim.
