The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating a fatal accident that occurred early morning on Saturday, December 14th.
At approximately 12:30 a.m., witnesses called 911 reporting a possible intoxicated driver traveling west on IH-30 near Belt Line Road in a Nissan passenger car. As officers were responding, witnesses stated the Nissan collided with a Ford SUV. The driver of the Nissan was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced deceased by medical staff. The driver of the Ford SUV was not injured.
The identity of the deceased will be released by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office once the next of kin has been notified.
The collision remains under investigation.
