Early Saturday morning, January 4, 2025, Grand Prairie police responded to a shooting in the 2400 block of Silverado Trail at approximately 1:15 a.m.
Officers discovered a male victim lying in the street with gunshot wounds. He was transported by medics to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The suspect or suspects fled the scene before police arrived and remain at large.
Detectives believe the victim was involved in high-risk activity at the time of the shooting, based on evidence recovered at the scene.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the victim’s identity once the next of kin has been notified. The investigation is ongoing.
