A Denton County jury this week sentenced Jose Turcios-Caballero to lengthy prison terms after finding him guilty of multiple child sex crimes.
Turcios-Caballero was convicted of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, Indecency with a Child, and Injury to a Child. The jury handed down maximum sentences of 99 years, 20 years, and 10 years, respectively.
Judge Brent Hill ordered Turcios-Caballero to serve the 99-year and 20-year sentences consecutively, effectively ensuring he spends the majority of his life behind bars.
Assistant District Attorneys Lauren Marshall and Alexa Galindo prosecuted the case, assisted by DA Investigator Andi Fletcher and Victim Liaison Veronica Brunner. The investigation was led by Det. Michael Owen of the Lewisville Police Department.
