Skyler Shoemaker

Northern District of Texas - Skyler Shoemaker, 34, of Colorado City, Texas, was sentenced to 19 years (228 months) in federal prison on December 11, 2025, after pleading guilty to Distribution of Child Pornography, announced United States Attorney Ryan Raybould.

Shoemaker was indicted in May 2025 and pled guilty three months later. U.S. District Judge James Wesley Hendrix imposed the sentence.

According to court documents, Shoemaker used Facebook Messenger to send a sexually explicit video of a four- to six-year-old child to his co-defendant girlfriend, Angel Bradford.

Information presented during the sentencing hearing further indicated that Shoemaker used various online platforms to distribute child pornography to other users and also committed sex acts in front of minors.

Co-Defendant Sentencing

His co-defendant, Angel Bradford, 33, of Hermleigh, Texas, was indicted alongside Shoemaker in May 2025. She pled guilty to Receipt of Child Pornography in July 2025 and was sentenced by Judge Hendrix on November 6, 2025, to five years in federal prison.

The investigation was conducted by the FBI Dallas Field Office – Abilene Resident Agency, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Abilene Police Department’s Cyber Crimes Unit. Assistant U.S. Attorney Whitney Ohlhausen prosecuted the case.

The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide Department of Justice initiative launched in May 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse by marshalling resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute offenders.
