DALLAS, Texas — A man has been arrested and charged with murder following a fatal shooting early Saturday morning in the Oak Cliff area, according to the Dallas Police Department.
On March 14, 2026, at approximately 2:15 a.m., Dallas police officers responded to a shooting call in the 2600 block of Emmett Street.
According to the preliminary investigation, 35-year-old Faustino Sanchez was shot at the location. Police say the suspect was identified as 29-year-old Robert Neri Hernandez.
Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced Sanchez dead at the location.
Authorities later located Hernandez and took him into custody. He was transported to the Lew Sterrett Justice Center, where he has been charged with Murder.
The investigation remains ongoing.
