DALLAS, Texas - A homicide investigation is underway after a man was fatally stabbed Friday afternoon in the Oak Cliff area, according to the Dallas Police Department.
Officers responded at approximately 12:31 p.m. on July 31 to a reported stabbing in the 1000 block of S. Hampton Road near West Clarendon Drive.
Preliminary findings indicate the victim was stabbed by a suspect known to him, police said.
Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the victim to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Authorities have not yet released the victim's identity.
Investigators said the circumstances surrounding the stabbing remain under investigation.
