Irving Man Dies After Falling From Moving Vehicle in Dallas; Police Investigating as Homicide
DALLAS - Dallas police are investigating the death of a 37-year-old man who fell from a vehicle in the Lake Highlands area and died at a hospital three days later.
Officers responded at approximately 8 a.m. Sept. 13 to a major disturbance call in the 11300 block of Amanda Lane near Interstate 635.
A preliminary investigation determined that Daniel Alexander Barahona-Hernandez fell from a vehicle being driven by someone he knew, according to Dallas police. Authorities have not released additional details about what led to Barahona-Hernandez falling from the vehicle or identified the driver.
Dallas Fire-Rescue transported Barahona-Hernandez to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital for treatment.
He died from his injuries Sept. 16, three days after the incident.
Police are investigating the case as a homicide. No arrest or criminal charge has been announced, and investigators have not disclosed why the death is being classified as a homicide.
Barahona-Hernandez was originally from Distrito de Jerusalen in La Paz, El Salvador. Family members have set up a gofundme page to cover his funeral costs.
