Hebron High School Teacher Arrested on Indecency With Child, Grooming Charges
Gloria Martinez Resendiz

CARROLLTON, Texas - A Hebron High School teacher was arrested Tuesday after Carrollton police said an investigation uncovered evidence of an inappropriate relationship with a juvenile student who had previously been enrolled in one of her classes.

35-year-old Gloria Martinez Resendiz of Plano faces charges of indecency with a child by sexual contact, a second-degree felony, and child grooming, a third-degree felony.

The investigation began Sunday, Sept. 27, when a Hebron High School administrator contacted the Carrollton Police Department about concerning electronic communications between Resendiz and a student.

Hebron High School is part of Lewisville Independent School District.  Resendiz has been employed by the school district since November 2022.

Police said the student had been enrolled in one of Resendiz's classes during a previous school year but was not currently one of her students.

Carrollton detectives opened an investigation and said they found evidence indicating Resendiz and the student had an ongoing inappropriate relationship. Police did not disclose the student's age, gender or other identifying information.

Based on evidence gathered during the investigation, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Resendiz on the two charges.

Resendiz turned herself in at the Carrollton Jail on Tuesday, Oct. 6. She was later transferred to the Denton County Jail.  Her bond for the Child Grooming charge has been set at $100,000.  According to her arrest record, the offense occurred on or about March 1, 2026.

Police have not released details about the alleged sexual contact or the contents of the electronic communications that prompted the investigation.

Investigators are continuing to review evidence, and police said additional charges could be filed.

Because the case involves a juvenile, the Carrollton Police Department said it will not release information that could identify the student.
