Man Killed After Being Struck by Train in Kennedale

The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office says one person has died after being struck by a Union Pacific train near Kennedale.

Just before 1 pm on January 5, Kennedale Fire Department, Rendon Fire Department, and Tarrant County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 7500 block of Hudson Cemetery Road on a call that a pedestrian had been struck by a train.

Sheriffs deputies arrived within minutes and began life-saving measures on the individual. Paramedics continued life-saving measures, but the person was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

Union Pacific says the cause of the incident remains under investigation.
