Murder-Suicide Investigation Ongoing in East Dallas

On April 12, 2023, at approximately 8:40 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call in the 2300 block of Prichard Lane in East Dallas. When officers arrived, they found the victim, 28-year-old Angelica Hinojosa, and the suspect with a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire and Rescue responded, and the victim and suspect died from their injuries. The preliminary investigation determined the suspect suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound after shooting the victim.

The suspect and victim are known to each other. The suspect’s identity is not being released until notifications have been made.
