Man Dies After Getting Hit While Running Accross George Bush Turnpike

At 6:46pm on Saturday, April 22nd, Richardson Fire/EMS and DPS Troopers responded to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the eastbound lanes of the President George Bush Turnpike near Shiloh Road.

Investigators say a 28-year-old man was running across the highway when he was struck and killed by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle was not seriously hurt.

The victim has been identified as a resident of Crandall.

All lanes were closed while DPS investigated the scene. Charges, if any, have not been released.

The investigation is ongoing.
