Two Students Arrested for Making Threats at Nimitz High School

Irving Police have arrested two students connected to threats against Nimitz High School and to a particular teacher.  

Police investigators say that a general threatening post circulating on social media was edited by students on separate occasions.  One individual tagged Nimitz in Irving and the other tagged a teacher at the school.

Both students that added the tags to the post were identified and arrested.

"There is no known or credible threat against any campus in Irving," said police in a statement.

Several school districts in the DFW area have been dealing with an increased number of threats against schools.

Garland Police launched an investigation after a threatening Instagram message was sent to a Garland ISD student alleging plannced violence at Garland High School.

Plano Police has been dealing with weapons threats at several of the Plano Schools.
