Man Drowns Along Shoreline of Grapevine Lake

On Saturday, June 3, at around noon, Flower Mound Fire/EMS and Police responded to the scene of a missing person in the water near Edgemere Road, along the Flower Mound Shoreline of Grapevine Lake.

According to witnesses, a man went under water along the shoreline and did not resurface. Firefighters from Flower Mound and Grapevine along with Texas Game Wardens and US Army Corps of Engineers all responded for search and rescue.

Emergency responders located the 27-year-old male victim in the water and performed life-saving measures on the scene and en route to the hospital, he was pronounced deceased.

The incident remains under investigation.
