North Richland Hills City Officials Address TEXRail Horn Use

North Richland Hills city officials have issued a statement addressing concerns regarding the use of horns by TEXRail trains over the past weekend. The statement follows a malfunction with the crossing gate at Holiday Lane on Saturday evening. Due to this issue, Trinity Metro, the transportation authority, implemented a temporary train speed restriction at the affected crossing. Federal safety regulations mandated the use of train horns during this period.

Trinity Metro confirmed that the crossing gate at Holiday Lane is now operational again. Consequently, the temporary speed restriction and mandatory horn blowing, put in place for safety reasons, were lifted at 6:30 a.m. today, October 2nd.
