Tyler Man Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison for DWI and Abandoning his Toddler on the Road

In Tyler, Texas, 38-year-old Paul Ryan Hanna was arrested on January 11, 2023, for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) after being pulled over by the police. During the arrest, officers discovered his toddler on Rhones Quarter Rd, which was a quarter-mile away from the arrest location. Hanna was given a $2,500 bond for the DWI charge and a substantial $750,000 bond for abandoning/endangering a child.

Hanna remained in custody at the Smith County jail following his arrest. Recently, on Thursday, Judge Kerry Russell sentenced him to 15 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDC) for his actions.
