School Bus Crash in Burleson Sends Two to Hospital

In a morning incident on October 20, 2023, at approximately 8:09 a.m. today, emergency responders from Burleson Fire/EMS and the Burleson Police Department reacted to a significant accident at the intersection of Wilshire Blvd and Summercrest Blvd.

Upon arrival at the scene, authorities discovered a passenger vehicle bearing substantial damage and an overturned school bus.

Rescue personnel from Burleson Fire Department worked to extricate an individual trapped inside the vehicle. This individual was subsequently airlifted to a Fort Worth trauma center via CareFlite for medical attention.

Thankfully, there were no students on board the school bus at the time of the collision. The bus driver sustained injuries, which, while not life-threatening, required immediate medical care. The driver was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The cause of the accident remains under active investigation by authorities.
