Missing Mesquite Woman Found Deceased

On Sunday afternoon, October 1st, 2023, the Seagoville Police Department received a call for a missing person.  Concerned family members had arrived at the Seagoville Police Department to report that a close family member had been missing for several days. The missing person was identified as Jennifer Mendez Olascoaga, an adult female, 24 years of age. A police report was created, and the Seagoville Police Department entered Jennifer into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) as a missing person (endangered) in accordance with state law.

Initially, on Thursday, September 28, 2023, family members had filed a missing person’s police report with the Dallas Police Department. However, when it was reported that Jennifer was last seen in the City of Seagoville, the Dallas Police Department referred them to the Seagoville Police Department.

Family members informed the Seagoville Police Department that they believe Jennifer’s vehicle was last seen on surveillance cameras on 9/27/2023 at about 8:00 pm, in the Creekside Mobile Home Park located at 2510 U.S. HWY 175, Seagoville Texas, 75159. Reportedly, Jennifer was at the location for a short time as she was dropping off a friend. Jennifer’s vehicle, a white 2015 Buick La Crosse was located by family members on Thursday, September 28, 2023, near the intersection of Milam Road and Lawson Road in Mesquite. The vehicle was secured upon locating it and was towed privately to another family member’s home.

Prior to, and during, reporting Jennifer as a missing person to the police, a family member received text messages forwarded from friend recipients regarding Jennifer. These messages have been forwarded to investigators and are being looked at further.  These text messages contained content that would lead one to believe that Jennifer’s disappearance may involve foul play.

On October 12, 2023, Seagoville Police and the Texas Rangers discovered human remains in a wooded area South of Interstate 20, just east of Lumley, in the City of Mesquite.

On Saturday, November 11, 2023, the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office has reportedly made a positive identification of Jennifer Mendez Olascoaga.

The investigation is ongoing at this time. No additional details have been released.
